Aeropres is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-purity gases to a variety of markets. Headquartered in Shreveport Louisiana with five remote locations, Aeropres employed an in-house Network Administrator to maintain their systems. Upon losing their Network Administrator in 2001, ECS was contacted to provide on-site support as well as work with their VP of Technical Services to review their current IT infrastructure and make recommendations to improve efficiencies, upgrade their current systems, and improve ROI.

One example of improving cost and reinvesting in technology was the elimination of point to point T1 lines between the sites and implementing VPNs (Virtual Private Networks). The cost savings was several thousands of dollars per month.  Aeropres used the savings to invest in a Cisco IP phone system. Today, Aeropres continues to be a great client using both ECS as well as its Web Application Development division, Synapse, to recommend, deploy and support a variety of technology solutions.

Time-It Lube

Time-It Lube has several regional locations that focus on Oil changes and preventative maintenance for all types of vehicles. It is headquartered in Shreveport and has offices in Shreveport, Bossier City, Natchitoches and East Texas. ECS has been providing IT services for Time-it Lube since 2002, and worked in conjunction with ISI to help maintain their previous Line of Business Application and supporting equipment. In 2010 Time-It Lube made a decision to move to another software system to run their company. ECS was tasked with designing and implementing the solution in a production environment for effective testing. ECS was then tasked with implementing this solution companywide without affecting normal business operations.

This implementation required several technology upgrades for Time-It lube which would lay the foundation for unified companywide communication, and use of the new Line of Business Application. ECS implemented a store wide MPLS network and backup broadband service using CISCO equipment to ensure a reliable network environment for Voice and Data. This paved the way for other efficiencies within the organization for company process and training. Time-It Lube was able to invest in a VOIP phone system and incorporate it at all its stores. With the use of PRI and SIP technology, Time-It Lube was able to centralize all voice calls, eliminate long distance charges and cancel all POTS lines at the store.

The Line of Business software was installed in a Virtual environment designed and installed by ECS. It was designed to run with VMware software sitting on top of Dell hardware. Redundancy was designed into the system to ensure optimal availability. This deployment incorporated technologies such as Windows 2008R2, HyperV, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy, Symantec Backup Exec 2010, and Veeam. Each store was fitted with Thin Clients and network printers that communicate with the central office. The network printers allowed Time-It Lube to retire fax machines and fax lines at each store effectively saving thousands of dollars each year in fees and consumables.   

ECS provides Help Desk services and manages each location 24/7 for hardware and network problems. Time-It Lube uses ECS as a sole vendor for their IT services and consults with ECS on all technology related projects.
