Foundation of ECS
Enterprise Computing Services, LLC (ECS) was founded in 1994 by Jim Malsch, current CEO and owner. As a professional IT company providing computer solutions and services for small to medium businesses, as well as large corporations, government, medical and educational facilities.
ECS’s original business plan was to develop a service organization with highly trained and certified systems engineers, technicians and consultants that provide consulting, design, sales, implementation and support of information technology solutions. Through strong alliances with market leading companies such as Dell, HP, Microsoft, Cisco and Citrix, ECS provides multiple avenues for companies to purchase the technology needed to improve productivity and enhance their competitive edge.
Strength & Expertise
In 1997, the computer division of Heard, McElroy and Vestal, LLP merged with ECS. The resources brought together by these two companies included financial strength as well as strong technical and business expertise. At this point, Kevin Cook, current President and owner, came over from HMV and joined the ECS team.
In 2010, ECS merged with ArkLaComp, owned by current COO and owner, Jon Katz. The merger added approximately 2,000 clients and positioned ECS to offer Managed Services to its customers as a small business solution, also known as The ECS Advantage.
In 2012, ECS merged with Trusted Data Solutions. Trusted Data Solutions’ main core competency was Cisco solutions. The merger allowed ECS to expand its Cisco service solutions to new and current customers.
The Future of IT Service
Today, ECS’s team is made up of over 40 highly trained individuals serving North Louisiana and East Texas. Since its beginning in 1994, ECS has provided computer solutions and service to over 4,000 clients. The ECS goal is the same today as it was in the beginning: to develop long term partnerships with our clients by providing them with sound professional advice and the highest level of service possible.
